OUR EVOO
Years before the European Union implemented its 2030 Objectives, our company was working on improving energy efficiency and saving resources aimed to preserve and improve the environment.
100% of our partners production is carried out in Integrated Agriculture or Organic Agriculture. Do you know what they are? Here is a short explanation:
Integrated Production (IP)
Integrated Production (IP), so called Integrated Agriculture, is an agricultural production system that uses practices compatible with the protection andimprovement of the environment, natural resources, genetic diversity, and soil and landscape conservation.
IP is an agricultural production system halfway between organic farming and conventional farming. Integrated Production, unlike Organic Production, allows the use of synthetic agrochemical products (fertilizers, pesticides, etc.), although it seeks to make a minimum use of them, and this is restricted in the specific Technical Standards of production for each crop, and only allowed if there are no other viable alternatives.
Organic Agriculture
Ecological, Organic or Biological agriculture is a farming system of an autonomous agricultural exploitation based on the optimal use of natural resources, without using synthetic chemical products, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) neither as chemical poisonsto combat pests thus achieving organic food while preserving the fertility of the land and respecting the environment.
All of this in a sustainable, balanced and maintainable way.
